The park is accessible only by car. From Liberia, it’s 5 km north up the Inter-American Highway.
Visitors pass through a variety of diffents habitats as they ascend the volcanoes, though the majority of the trees in the park are typical of those found in dry tropical forest through-out Guanacaste.
The wildlife on this territory is extremely varied.Almost 300 species of birds have been recorded here, including curassows, quetzals, bellbirds, parrots, toucans, hummingbirds … to name just a few.
Bring: For the mud baths you just need your swim suit, long pants for horseback riding and the zip lines.
